KTL Ltd - responsive and attuned to the needs of employers through Train to Gain

 

More and more companies are continuing to invest in training their employees in response to the economic climate.
Research show that businesses are 2.5 times more likely to survive if employers train their staff.
If you want to improve your organisations productivity and maximize your competitive advantage, you need to make sure each of your employees has all the skills they need to do their job properly.
Train to Gain is designed specifically to meet businesses training needs. An initiative to raise the skill levels of people who are in work. The aim of the initiative is to have all skilled employees trained to a minimum of a Level 2 qualification. KTL will work with you to respond to your training needs for your organisation. We then put together a training plan that will offer a choice of training solutions for each employee. Subject to previous qualifications, these NVQ’s are fully funded or co-funded by the Government.

 

KTL deliver the following NVQ’s and Awards within the clothing and textile industry:

 

Manufacturing Textiles (City and Guilds)


Performing Manufacturing Operations (City and Guilds)

 

Distribution Services within the Textile Industry (ABC Awards)


Manufacturing Sewn Products (ABC Awards)

 

Business Improvement Techniques (Edexcel)

 

Other NVQ’s include Management, Customer Service and Business Administration.


KTL also design bespoke training to meet individual requirements.
Training can also include the following:
Health and Safety, Employee’s Responsibilities, Use of Personal Protective Equipment, Manual Handling, Rules and Regulations, Working Relationships, Quality, Customers Requirements, Faults and Discrepancies.

KTL will work with you to cover an Organisational Needs Analysis (ONA). We then put together a training plan that will offer a choice of training solutions for each employee. Training is available not only for trades, but administration, support staff, management and leadership.


Skills For Life: What are they?

Skills for Life or Basic Skills qualifications are designed to help you develop the skills you use in everday life, such as reading, writing or maths. Skills for life certificates are available in adult literacy, adult numeracy, information and communication technology (ICT) and also in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Information, Advice and Guidance in the Train to Gain Service to Learners

KTL provide free impartial advice and guidance to learners and employers before, during and after training. IAG workers are available to speak with you either face to face or over the telephone to provide you with information, advise you on training issues and offer guidance throughout your programme. Information, Advice and Guidance is underpinned by the National IAG Board Principles for Coherent Delivery in IAG services.
